They say that you shouldn’t usher in last year’s problems when you’re welcoming in another year in your life. This is precisely what Facebook user Trishia Bernardino Lumaque did when she changed her profile picture and captioned it with a lengthy text about her realizations on her ex-boyfriend.

Lumaque’s post has reached a whopping amount of 46,000 likes and reactions from netizens, as well as 26,525 shares and 6,200 comments. Even though it was just a simple profile picture change, Lumaque used it as a venue to share her thoughts about moving on from her past relationship.

In fact, she gave it the title “To The Man Who Will Never See My Worth”

Based on the timestamp, she shared it on Dec. 29, 2017, four days before she ushered in the new year. It might be earlier than the intended day, but it was an indication that Lumaque really wanted to have a clean slate for 2018.

She began with the following text:

“I won’t be there for you anymore when you are bored. No more midnight calls and sweet messages. You won’t hear my sleepy voice again when you call me at 3 A.M. while I am fast asleep.”

“I won’t beg you anymore to listen to what am I saying because it is so boring for you. Some of your stories are dull too but I enjoyed every bit of it.”

“You will never hear melaugh [sic] again while you crack your silly jokes. Yes, I won’t be there for you anymore.”

As she moved on to the second paragraph, she admitted that it was difficult for her to end the relationship.

According to her, she has ” shed buckets of tears” every time her ex-boyfriend made her feel “so disliked.”

However, she shared that she was grateful for having met someone like him because he taught her lessons, particularly on self-love and cherishing herself above all else. She also apoligized to him and said that she’s sorry for being “so clingy and needy,” among other things.
